Each with a cartouche-shaped padded back, arms and serpentine-fronted seat covered in brown floral striped silk brocade, the channelled frame with flowerhead cresting, the scrolled arms on downswept supports and the waved seat-rail with conforming centre, on cabriole legs, the legs headed by stylised shells on one chair, on the other headed by flowers, with scrolled feet, one chair inscribed in crayon '3' twice and stamped '..D...PORTE', the other stamped 'MDLP', restorations to the gilding, one foot with restored break (2)
