Woven in wools and silks, depicting Isaac pointing towards the left with his sons Jacob and Esau behind him and a seated maiden with a child before him, with further groups of men to the left and before a large tree, the left background with a town on a hill, within a fruiting foliate border and a ribbon-twist outer rim and blue outer slip, the main field reduced in width and height and the blue outer slip later to the top and base, reweaving and patching

A tapestry depicting The Story of David and Bathsheba with almost identical borders was sold anonymously, Sotheby's Monaco, 6-7 December 1987, lot 162, and a further tapestry depicting Jacob greeting Rachel, with very similar figures and tree, was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 26 November 1996, lot 217.
