From the series Bataille des Franais en Italie, depicting Napoleon's Italian Campaigns, one scene of the Bataille d'Arcole with soldiers crossing a bridge and with a View of Rome to the right, one scene of the Prise de Naples with soldiers attacking the fortifications of Naples with Vesuvius beyond, and another of the Entrée à Milan with soliders and people from the city celebrating with a townscape beyond, in three later framed panels of various sizes consisting of eight, five and three panels respectively, lined on canvas, areas of water damage, minor repainting
