A closely related chair is illustrated in S. Wallin, Nordiska Museets Möbler Fran Svenska Herrmanshem, Lund, 1979, p. 147, figs. 1169, 1170 and 1173. A nearly identical set of six chairs, although lacking the paw feet, was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 26 November 1996, lot 29 (£ 3,200).
