A DATED YANGZHOU SEAL-SCHOOL TRANSPARENT VIOLET-BLUE OVERLAY OPAQUE WHITE GLASS BOTTLE
RENWU NIAN ZUO CYCLICAL DATE, CORRESPONDING TO 1822, AND OF THE PERIOD

Of flattened rounded shape, carved through the overlay on one side with a long-tailed bird in the branches of a leafy spray rising from Taihe rockwork above chrysanthemum and below a four-character seal, the other with a small bird flying above a walking heron holding a lotus spray in its beak near further tied lotus sprays, the oval foot ring carved from the deep-blue overlay
1 7/8in. (4.8cm.) high, stopper
