A VERY RARE INCISED RUBY-ENAMELLED DISH
ENCIRCLED YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The thinly potted rounded sides flaring slightly at the rim supported on a neatly-cut tapered foot, the interior finely incised with five ruyi-shaped clouds around the well, covered overall in an attractively mottled pink enamel of crushed raspberry tone stopping neatly at the foot ring--8in. (20.5cm.) diam.

Dishes of this type are very rare and no other incised examples of this colour appear to be published.
