A Composite Armour In German Late Gothic Style
Partly late 15th/early 16th Century
Of bright steel, comprising one-piece sallet, bevor, gorget, cuirass with two-piece breast, hooped skirt with one-piece cusped tassets, cusped and fluted pauldrons, vambraces, complete legharness with long pointed sabatons, and cusped and fluted fingered gauntlets with long cuffs, accompanied by a mail shirt of rows of alternate solid and riveted links, open down the front and with full-length sleeves: mounted together with a rapier on a W.R. Hearst figure with a wooden base carved in relief with trophies
