The stylised floral design on this plaque is thought to be unique. Clarice based the floral motif on a design from 1928 pochoir print by French artist Edouard Benedictus. The plaque has been decorated with a mix of underglaze colour combined with on-glaze enamels, as used by Clarice for her 1930 -1931 Clouvre, which it was probably part of.
