The diversity of Clarice's imagination is demonstrated by the Teddy Bear bookends which Clarice modelled less than a year before her classic Age of Jazz figures. Her output was designed to caterfor all tastes at the time. Ironically, when the depression in Britain and the world was making it hard for all pottery manufacturers to remain in business, Clarice was at her most successful!
