signed Charrière à Paris, containing electrodes for the ear, uterus, vagina, skin and muscles, some with rubberised coverings (perished) and ivory handles, contained in a green watered-silk lined case with gilt fitting, the exterior covered in gilt-stamped leather (escutcheon detached) -- 14½in. (37cm.) wide
