the handle cast with the legend Ye WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, the tip with the logo I.F. pierced by an arrow motif, the handle with solid wedge-shaped bracket support to the pan, the pan -- 7¼in. (18.5cm) diam, length overall -- 16 7/8in. (42.9cm)

It has been suggested that the I.F. logo to the tip of the handle may relate to the founder John Fathers. A similar skillet with the same motto sold in these rooms, The John Fardon Collection, 1 May 1996, lot 173.
