A gentleman's rare 9ct. two colour gold "Jubilee" Prince wristwatch, Ref: 1862, No.573, 1935, rectangular polished silvered duo-dial with incised Arabic chapter ring and subsidiary seconds, signed 17-jewel movement Officially Tested in Eight Ways, with compensation balance and numbered 573, case with signed snap on back, numbered 16406/1862, faint engraved inscription, Glasgow import marks for 1935, length 35mm.

In 1935 Their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary celebrated their Silver Jubilee. To mark the occasion a large order was received by Rolex from London, by 29th April 1936, exactly 146 days after the order was placed, 500 Rolex chronometers (Prince caliber) numbered 501-1000 all obtained a Rating Certificate bearing the mention "Specially good" from the Bienne Testing Station.
