A large Imari basin painted and gilt with a jardiniere of peonies on a fenced terrace within border panels of peonies, bamboo and chrysanthemums issuing from rockwork and trailing flowers tied to canes -- 19¼in. (49cms) diam, circa 1700, (section rivetted and restored).
