decorated in gold hiramakie, takamakie, kirigane and scattered nashiji with a gambolling karashishi, the reverse with flowering peony branches, the interior in nashiji -- 3½.in (8.9cm) long, signed Jokosai, 18th/19th Century, (slight dent, old wear); attached inlaid wood ojime carved with kiku-heads; and wood netsuke of a seated karashishi with brocade ball -- 1½.in (3.8cm) wide, signed.
