JAMES BOND -- 007 The words My name is Bond, James Bond were first uttered by Sean Connery in Dr. No in 1962 (lots 5 and 6), and immortalized Ian Fleming's smooth British secret agent, 007. Connery was chosen from several contenders to portray the screen incarnation of Bond. He repeated the role successfully in subsequent screen adaptations of Fleming's novels. David Niven, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan have also portrayed Bond, however it is Connery's name and image which has become synonymous with James Bond. Bond film posters featuring Connery are highly prized and increasingly hard to find. Some of the best of these are represented in lots 8 - 18.
