The Octa Quantieme Perpetuel was introduced in 2012, offered in both 40 mm and 42 mm case sizes and cased in either platinum or pink gold. The Octa Divine served as the inspiration for this model's design, which uses a pleasing quatrefoil arrangement. The Quantième Perpétuel deviates from François-Paul Journe's trademark off-center displays by distributing the calendar indications, day, date and month, across four quandrants, with the leap year indication subtly placed around the central axis.
Two particularly notable features exemplify the ingenuity of François-Paul Journe’s approach to perpetual calendar construction. First, at midnight, all calendar indicators change simultaneously and instantly. Second, the watch's indications can be easily adjusted without the use of tools. The quick-set mechanism on the crown is the main method of setting the perpetual calendar, and a secret corrector lever under the upper right lug is used to change the month.
