Dedicated to Ziqiang
NOTE:
This painting was dedicated to Huang Tze Chiang (1915–1987), a Singaporean merchant originally from Dabu, Guangdong. Huang was associated with Taiping Insurance Company, Public Insurance Company and Da Dong Book Company, and was actively involved with the Singapore Hakka Huang Clan Association. According to family recollections, he knew Qi Baishi personally and received this work from him.
