Cylindrical, the sides engraved with various Chinoiserie scenes of figures in villages and landscapes within geometric borders, each engraved with a coat-of-arms within ribbon-tied palm frond cartouche, the flat hinged covers with detachable leafy branch and flower finials, in a George III mahogany case, marked on underside, the cover with maker's mark and lion passant only, the finials apparently unmarked;
Together with six George III silver teaspoons modeled as leafy branches with leaf-form bowls, marked on terminals with unrecorded maker's mark PR only, possibly for Phillip Roker II
4 ¾ in. (12.1 cm.) high
32 oz. 2 dwt. (998 gr.)
The arms are probably those of a maiden of the Wentworth family.
