PROBABLY SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE, CIRCA 1770
The rectangular casket with hinged cover and drop ring handles cast with scrolls and flower heads, fitted with a rectangular sugar box with hinged cover and two rectangular caddies with lift-off circular covers, all painted with Italianate pastoral scenes of figures in wooded landscapes within frames of gilt scrolls and on a pink ground painted with white diaper, with scrolling chased gilt-metal mounts
9 in. (22.8 cm.) long, over handles, the casket
