A large Cantonese bowl painted and gilt to the interior with a broad band of ladies at leisure on terraces in gardens of pine and rockwork above a central roundel of two officials seated at a table before further ladies, the exterior with similarly decorated panels and cartouches on grounds of scattered flowersprays, all below borders of birds, bats and butterflies on dense grounds of fruit and flowersprays and precious objects -- 13¾in.
