An Imari bowl painted and gilt to the exterior with a continuous scene of a lady carrying scrolls, figures painting, mythical beasts and birds in flight in a fenced garden, the interior with a central roundel of peony sprays within borders of scrolling foliage and floral cartouches -- 8¼in.
