A Chinese blue and white bowl with barbed rim painted to the exterior with panels of boys playing blind man's buff, riding hobby horses and playing with crabs, alternating with ladies reading and playing go in fenced gardens, all above moulded bands of lotus flowers, the interior with a seated lady practising calligraphy beside rockwork -- 8½in. (21cm) diam, six character mark to base, 'Qi yu bao ding zhi zhen' (Precious object of rare jade among treasured vessels), Kangxi.
