PROBABLY OTTOMAN BURSA, TURKEY, 17TH CENTURY
Comprising two panels joined vertically in the centre, the red velvet ground woven with a repeating pattern of offset serrated palmettes, each containing a flowerhead issuing tulips and carnations, within a pair of calyx and culminating in a triple-headed tulip finial, mounted on cotton frame
