The cartouche-form top with kidney-shaped tooled leather writing surface within marquetry panels above a conforming frieze centered by a foliate shell and fitted with a leather-lined writing slide and two lateral drawers fitted with wells and a blue silk-lined compartment, cabriole legs headed by mounts cast with cabochon and guilloche motif above a floral trail, stamped once BVRB, all but one mount stamped with the 'C' couronné poinçon
