It is very rare to find huanghuali cabinets as large in size as the present lot. Compare to a smaller huanghuali square-corner cabinet with reticulated dragons aprons, sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 30 November 2020, lot 2850. Another square-corner example with beaded and dragons aprons, also smaller in size and of 17^th/18^th century date, sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 28 November 2012, lot 2029.
