Cette élégante table dérive directement d’un dessin de l’architecte allemand Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841). Il livra en 1824-1825 une telle table pour le Neue Pavilion situé dans le parc du château royal de Charlottenburg. Mentionnons également la table des collections du château de Glienicke. Ces tables présentent cette élégante base dérivant directement des prototypes antiques qu’avait pu découvrir Schinkel lors de ses voyages en Italie et plus particulièrement à Pompéi et à Herculanum.
