of vase shape and on a spreading circular foot cast and chased with winged cherub's masks and floral lattice work, the part-fluted body with two foliate-capped flower head and scroll handles and cast and chased with a band of cherubs with animals and insects displaying the virtues, a frieze of rising flowering foliage beneath, the waisted detachable cover with winged cherub and floral latticework border and angel with cherub finial, engraved beneath the lip with a Royal Monogram on one side and with presentation inscription from Queen Victoria to her Godchild Victoria Alexandrina Cotes, 10 Dec. 1840, each inscription within a floral and foliate swag, John Mortimer & John S.
