A French early 20th Century gilt chalice
on a rising circular gem-set base with inscription in Latin, the openwork knop chased with the Symbols of the Evangelists, with a plain tapering bowl, the underside with presentation inscription in Latin dated 1905 and applied with an oval plaque with retailer's name and address - 6¾in. (17cm.), 19oz. gross.
