A French early 18th century beaker
of inverted bell shape and on a part-fluted domed circular foot, the interior and exterior with traces of gilding, the bowl engraved with a broad frieze of stylised shells, foliage and strap work with a narrow moulded rim above, the underside of the foot engraved with a crest within a foliate and strap work cartouche and with numbers, possibly a date - 3½in. (9cm), 3.75oz.
