CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, MARQUE A SIX CARACTERES EN CACHET EN BLEU SOUS COUVERTE ET EPOQUE DAOGUANG (1821-1850)
Le pourtour est orné de quatre médaillons circulaires abritant des fleurs et des lingzhi en réserve sur fond jaune sgraffiato. Les médaillons sont entrecoupés de pêches de longévité dans leur feuillage au-dessus de vagues tumultueuses.
Diamètre: 14,8 cm. (5 ¾ in.)

This bowl is entirely decorated with auspicious motifs: peaches for longevity; peony for prosperity; lingzhi for fulfillment; and wan for 'ten thousand'. Famille-rose-decorated bowls of this type, with four medallions reserved on a sgraffiato ground were quite popular during the Daoguang period, and the painting was delicate and refined. A pair of similar bowls was included in the exhibition, Qing Mark and Period Monochromes and Enameled Wares, S. Marchant and Son, July 1981, no. 59.
