JALISCO RITUAL PLATFORM GROUP

Composed of three seated figures, one a male playing a drum, one a female with a bowl nestled in her lap with another female facing her and grasping an olla resting on the circular platform, each adorned with decorative tattoos and tall turbans, with remains of black and red pigment.

Such group scenes reveal the significance of ritual feasting and the consumption of specific foods and beverages such as pulque, fermented agave nectar, see Townsend (ed.), 1998: p. 91, fig. 4.

Scène de groupe avec des restes de pigments noir et rouge reposant sur une plateforme circulaire et composée de trois personnages assis comprenant un homme jouant du tambour, une femme avec un bol placé entre les genoux et une autre femme en vis-à-vis qui saisit un objet, chacune étant ornée de tatouages décoratifs et de hauts turbans.

Ces scènes de groupe révèlent l’importance des fêtes religieuses avec la consommation d’aliments et de boissons spécifiques tels que le pulque et le nectar d’agave fermenté, voir Townsend (éd.), 1998 : p. 91, fig. 4.
