CHINE, DYNASTIE MING, CIRCA XVIEME SIECLE

It is rare to find jade figures of Guanyin of such small size. The presence of two small holes on the base of this current figure of Guanyin suggests that it was used as part of a headdress, as can be seen in a number of Ming Dynasty ancestor portraits.
