Ce beau masque se remarque par sa composition abstraite, rythmée par une polychromie sobre et par la superposition de deux plans concaves se prolongeant en crochet aux extrémités. Au milieu, deux yeux tubulaires renforcent sa puissance d’expression. Selon Douglas Newton ce type de masque, où deux plans superposés partagent une unique paire d’yeux, est plutôt rare, et stylistiquement peut être attribué au sous-groupe Namu (D. Newton, Crocodile and Cassowary. Religious Art of the Upper Sepik River, New Guinea, Connecticut, 1971 : p. 19).
