‘Appena l’aereo e la scia bianca sparivano, la nostra
delusione era palpabile. “ Non sarebbe più bello se ce ne
fossero tantissimi?”, mi disse. Un giorno, forse avevo
cinque o sei anni, sdraiati su questi tappeti, mio padre
mi mostrò una delle sue opere, gli Aerei. Lo teneva
con le mani sospeso sopra la mia testa, per inserirlo
nel cielo. Che occupò con grande naturalezza. Aveva
abbellito il cielo’
‘As soon as the white contrail of the plane disappeared,
our disappointment became blatant. “Wouldn’t it be
amazing if there were many more?”, he told me. One
day, I must have been five or six, we were laying down
on one of the carpets and my father showed me one
of his works, Planes. He kept it above our heads, as to
insert it in the sky, where it naturally fit. He had made
the sky more beautiful’
