The flat dish is modelled as a large double gourd overgrown with branches of fruit-bearing vine, a bat sits on its edge. It is decorated in washed tones of russet and grey in imitation of hardstone. The base has an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark.

Acquired in the UK in the 1970s by the vendor's grandfather, then by descent.
