The hall mark reading 'xing you heng tang' may be translated as 'the Hall of Perpetuation'. It is known that this hall belonged to Dai Quan (1794-1854), a Manchu official and a descendant of the Emperor Qianlong, whose family's collection of works of art and calligraphy was particularly famous during the mid-19th century.
