Three props from the 1956 Paramount film The Ten Commandments including a decorative spear of bronze painted wood, the ridged terminal decorated with a geometric pattern of overlapping stylized petals and a gilt tassel -- 43½in. (110.5cm.) high -- accompanied by a still of Rameses [Yul Brynner] surrounded by such spears in his chariot; and a painted metal spear of simulated copper -- 52¼in. (132.7cm.) high -- similar to other spears seen in Rameses' chariot; and a painted metal trumpet in the form of a lotus, the spun brass bell decorated with a geometric pattern of overlapping stylized petals -- 33¾in. (85.7cm.) high -- trumpets were used in two scenes including one in which the Egyptian troops were called to pursue the Hebrews (3)

Trumpets were used on two occasions in the film, firstly at Moses' command 'Let the trumpets sound... when he leads the Hebrews out of bondage, and secondly when the Egyptian troops were called together to pursue the departing Hebrews.
