The monkey's head moves from side to side, controlled by a bell-crank activated by large pins on the cylinder. His baton moves up and down, controlled by a saw-tooth form cam on the end of the cylinder; there are two different cams, corresponding to the two tunes. The movement (which is wound from the side, with a sliding cover for the arbor) has damage to the crown wheel, great wheel and comb (one tooth, five tips).
