The decorative motif on the present wall vase, with scrolling vines and beautiful clusters of flower blossoms are adapted from similarly decorated cloisonné vessels. Compare the current lot to a cloisonné meiping that is similarly rendered with a cluster of triple flower heads against a vibrant turquoise enamel ground, illustrated in the Compendium of Collections in the Palace Museum, Enamels: Cloisonne in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), vol. 3, Beijing, 2011, p. 131, no. 96.
