The matte glass body of barrel shape, with trompe l’oeil silver-mounted bands, the detachable cover surmounted by a realistically cast and chased sturgeon, the original silver stand of circular shape, marked under base of the stand and on the sturgeon’s tail
The pot 7½ in (19 cm.) high; the stand 7¾ in (19.6 cm.) diameter
