With tric-trac to the interior, chess and Muhle to the exterior, with foliate silver hinges and silver hasp together with thirty ebony and painted counters, including religious figures and historical events and monarchs including Emperor Charles VI, Frederick the Great and George I of England, the siege of Bude dated 1686 and others, most with Latin inscriptions
The board 20 x 15 in. (51 x 38 cm.) when closed
