A WHITE JADE SCABBARD SLIDE
HAN DYNASTY (206 BC-AD 220)
The front is well carved with four rows of small bosses connected by incised lines into repeated patterns, all within narrow raised borders, and the reverse has a rectangular slide bearing remains of iron encrustation. The well-polished, semi-translucent stone is of even pale greenish-white color.
