TWO ENAMELED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLES
1820-1908
The first, pebble-form bottle, 1820-1850, is decorated with a continuous landscape containing a scholar and attendant carrying a wrapped qin, the reverse with a bridge and a blossoming prunus tree. The second bottle is molded, 1874-1908, one side has raised decoration of a seal face reading Xunyangling yin ('Seal of the Xunyang prefect') and a censer, the reverse is decorated with a lady riding a tiger and wielding a sword, with a two-character se e mark to the base in iron-red.
2 ½ and 2 ¾ in. (6.4 and 7.4 cm.) high, glass and stone stoppers
