A CIRCULAR WHITE JADE 'LOTUS AND SPIDER' PLAQUE
18TH CENTURY
The plaque has a shaped rim and is carved in low relief to one side with a spider sitting in the centre of an open lotus leaf bordered by peach, pomegranate, flowers and lotus pods. The other side is delicately carved with a lotus flower and is pierced with double holes. The stone is of an even tone.
