A PALE CELADON JADE VESSEL INSET WITH HARDSTONE FLOWERS
GUANGXU PERIOD, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The vessel is shaped as a bamboo shoot and is carved in relief with a phoenix amongst branches of bamboo. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with some russet and brown inclusions. The vase is inset with hardstone models of flowers.
