Two similar guéridons with the same triaptite legs are in the collection of the château de Fontainebleau. One is stamped Jacob Frères, rue Meslée and the other JD (J. P. Samoyault, Meubles entrés sous le Premier Empire, Paris, 2004, pp. 249-250, ill. 177 and 178). A further tilt-top gueridon from the bedroom of Mme Recamier, is also stamped 'Jacob Freres' (D. Ledoux-Lebard, Le Mobilier François du XIXe Siècle, Paris, 1989, p. 279).
