A PAIR OF ENAMELLED AND GEMSET GOLD BRACELETS (KADA)
NORTH INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
Of circular form with makara head terminals, a hinged join at the back of one and a screw release mechanism on the other, the exterior with inset diamonds, rubies and emeralds forming an interlocking quatrefoil pattern, the interior with enamelled lotus flowers and foliage on a striated white ground, the makara heads with inset gemstones on a blue enamelled ground, minor chips to the enamel
