Arabic manuscript on paper, 401ff. plus one fly-leaf, each folio with 15ll. of black naskh, gold verse roundels, sura headings in white naskh on gold ground, text panel laid down between gold and red rules, large gold and polychrome marginal section markers, the bifolio at the start of each juz' with the text in clouds reserved against gold ground and surrounded by gold and polychrome illuminated margins, the opening bifolio with the text in clouds reserved against gold ground with scrolling polychrome floral vine, gold and polychrome floral borders, the colophon dated in red ink also in clouds reserved against gold ground and with an abjad chronogram, in later stamped red morocco
