A FINE SMALL FAUX SILVER-INLAID BRONZE SEAL PASTE BOX AND COVER
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER INCISED MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The side of the box is delicately incised with a continuous band of stylised scrolling foliage. The cover is incised with a ruyi band to the side and a faint archaistic 'C' scroll design to the top. The exterior of both the box and cover are covered with a brown, slightly speckled iridescent glaze, in imitation of a bronze patina.
3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) diam.
