JIAQING IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The garniture comprises a tripod censer raised on cabriole legs and with pierced, curved upright handles, a pair of gu-form beaker vases and a pair of candlesticks with drip-pans. All are finely painted in famille rose enamels and iron-red with meandering floral scroll interspersed with Buddhist emblems beneath decorative borders. The interiors are covered in a rich turquoise enamel.

Very few complete imperial porcelain altar garnitures have survived, and this extremely rare set appears to be one of the only Jiaqing-marked lime-green-ground sets to be published.
